Abstract
George MacDonald was a nineteenth century preacher, poet, novelist and the foremost Victorian author of fairy tales. C.S. Lewis called him his master and said that he quoted from him directly or indirectly in all his books. This paper explores the interaction among mathematics, science, and Christian belief in MacDonald’s life and work.
